we've decided on;
the title must remain the same throughout all issues in order to show a professional link throughout, this will serve the same purpose as a logo and therefore will be used as a recognition tool.
the core genre will be ROCK; however we will include sub-genres as rock is such a wide category- we will include sub-genres such as pop, RnB, classical, acoustic and indie rock.
each member of the group will be in charge of one of four issue front covers and must bring forth original designs. therefore between this lesson and next next each person will have to plan their own cover as well as think of concept photos and fonts.
we initially decided on using a colour scheme as a recognistion tool but then later we decided that we could just use the same headmast instead.
the titles we drafted were;
fedora
rocapocalypse
ROCKA series
however, we perceived that these titles would be biased towards a certain audience; an audience that we would not want
our target audience are any persons who are interested in the genre(s) aged between 16-25
now we must decide on what graphics, fonts, images and tools to entice audiences we will use.
an idea for the rock/ classical cover will be to have a subject sit on a cello which is laid down on its side with a forest as the back drop, not only does this incorporate an unconventional style of classical music image but also a subtle rock theme with style.
